Sony RX0 has environmental sealing and different protection features. Let's see in the list below:
|Drop from height||2.00 meter|
|Temp. range from||0.00 °C|
Also RX0's image sensor has an effective resolution of around 15 megapixel. The resolution is somewhat below average but will be sufficient for most purposes. Photos with this resolution can easily be printed to A3 size.
The Sony supports taking images in RAW. RAW images are stored as they come from the sensor, without any in-camera processing or sharpening. Converting to JPEG or other formats takes place on the computer, using software like Adobe Lightroom or Sony's RAW converter. This involves one extra processing step but almost always results in superior image quality. Some filters, like converting to monochrome (black and white) will only yield decent results when used with RAW images.
The RX0's shutter speed varies from 1/32000s to 0.25s.
|Max. shutter speed||1/32000s|
|Min. shutter speed||0.25s|
The RX0's sensitivity goes from 125 ISO und 25600 ISO, a very useful and practical range.
|Min. sensitivity||125 ISO|
|Max. sensitivity||25600 ISO|
The RX0 supports all general exposure modes.
The Sony allows spot exposure for the difficult occasion.
The RX0 doesn't feature a built-in flash. That is not unsusual in this camera category.
A flash or a trigger for remote flashes can be attached to the Sony's hotshoe.
The RX0 features a monitor with a diagonal of 38.00mm (1.5 in.) and a resolution of c. 0.23 megapixel. That rather low resolution is no longer state of the art and will make it difficult to evaluate images on the display.
Unfortunately, the RX0's monitor is not articulated. That can make it tricky to frame your subject in some situations, e.g. when taking selfies.
The RX0 does not feature a touch screen.

The Sony RX0 works with a NP-BJ1 LiIon battery. The battery lifetime is an average 240 shots. That's on the lower side of things for a full day, consider a spare battery for the RX0.
The battery can be charged over USB while in camera. Very useful, especially on vacation when most people bring a USB charger for their smartphone anyway.
The RX0's battery battery parameters:
|Battery life||240 photos|

The RX0 is not much bigger:
